Artist

E7 - An Evening With an Artist: Frans Lanting
Famed photographer Frans Lanting will be PIEA's featured Evening
with an Artist. As a frequent contributor to National Geographic, Lanting's nature photography has
been featured in books, magazines and exhibitions around the world during his illustrious career.
His most recent project, Life: A Journey Through
Time, is a book and multimedia production on the evolution of life on earth. Copies of Life
will be on sale following his presentation and Lanting will autograph copies.

PMA Golf Tournament – The Legacy Golf Club
Fee includes greens fees, carts, range balls, prizes, breakfast, lunch and refreshments.
Select your choice of scoring: Callaway or Scramble. Complete the registration form with the names of
players, scoring system and pairing preference, handicaps and whether you need bus transportation. Indicate
pairing preferences for players registering on other forms by attaching a separate sheet noting name and

PMA Big Night – The
Ultimate Tailgate Party
It’s all about Big. The Big photo show, the Big tailgate party, and the Big
game! Join us for the closing event of PMA 08. There'll be music by a rocking DJ, an all star lineup of
sports games and, of course, food – in a big way! The Ultimate Tailgate Party will be held in the End Zone,
immediately following the Kickoff Reception and the Grand Prize Drawing. Purchase your wristband for the
ULTIMATE access to food and games – $25 member/$35 non-member. Wristbands will be available for purchase at
the special events desk and during the Kickoff Reception.

Business Session Keynotes are designed to inspire, inform and entertain as you start your day at PMA 08. This
year's keynotes include Stuart Varney and the PMA Visionaries Panel; MIT's Dr. Andrew Lippman,one of the
world’s foremost authorities on viral communication; and NFL Hall of Famer Gale Sayers, founder of Sayers
Computer Source and author of “I Am Third,” which was produced into an award-winning television movie,
“Brian’s Song.”

opening day of the PMA 08 Trade Show.

PIEA 2008 International Student-Teacher Photo
Exhibition and Competition
The top 100 to 200 student and teacher photographs are on exhibit at PMA 08. The
contest offers over US$157,000 in prizes donated by more than 80 generous sponsors; the competition is open
to students everywhere, at all ages, and to their teachers.
PPFA International Framing Competition
The grand finale of a yearlong chapter-level competition. Winning chapter
entries advance and compete in this prestigious event. Enjoy the display of fine artistry and cast a ballot
for your favorite!
The Studio That Sells!
Designed by Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA)
and PMA, The Studio That Sells is a "LIVE" walk-through pavilion exhibit that will model a contemporary video

In an Instant with Lee Woodruff
Lee Woodruff is a freelance writer and public relations executive. She and her
husband, journalist Bob Woodruff, are the authors of "In an Instant: A Family’s Journey of Love and Healing,"
The New York Times best-selling book about their family’s difficult journey during Bob’s critical
injury in Iraq while anchoring a broadcast for ABC News. A frank and compelling account of how their lives
came together, were blown apart, and then were miraculously put together again, "In an Instant" shares how

Hoover Dam Discovery Tour
It took less than five years, in a harsh and barren land, to build the largest dam
of its time. Now, years later, Hoover Dam still stands as a world-renowned structure. The dam is a National
Historic Landmark and is one of America's Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders. This engineering marvel
will be sure to amaze all of its visitors. Join us on The Discovery Tour to see, learn and appreciate what
Hoover Dam is all about. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket. A boxed lunch will be provided.
Shuttle departs the LVCC South Hall Main Entrance at 11 :00 a.m., returning at 4:00 p.m.. Advance tickets are
