PSRO 2007 offers a stellar speaker lineup
JACKSON, Mich. - The Professional Scrapbook Retailers OrganizationTM
(PSRO) announces its keynote speakers for its upcoming convention, which takes place March
8-11, 2007, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nev., USA. PSROT is a member association
of Photo Marketing Association® (PMA), which will be holding its convention at the same
venue and same time in Las Vegas.
PSRO 2007 will first welcome industry expert Tamara Lipori, author of "The PSRO
Guide to Scrapbook Retailing." Lipori, a writer, speaker and consultant, will show scrapbook retailers how to
hire great employees and mold them into a top-selling team. "Your employees are the most important asset, or
hindrance, in growing your business," she says. She will teach interviewing techniques, show how to turn
around an underperforming employee, and discuss creating incentives for the team. She will also teach
scrapbook retailers how to market their store and set themselves above the competition, how to design an
annual marketing and advertising plan, create events and promotions, find free and low cost marketing and
advertising ideas, and build good will in the community.
Rob Comeau, owner of Los Angeles based Photo & Scrapbook Business
Solutions, will show how to provide top-notch customer service. "Scrapbook retailers are in the 'people
business,'" he says. "Connecting with customers is essential for gaining a competitive edge."
Kesley Anderson, vice president, scrapbook and craft business development,
Lucidiom Inc., will present "The Softer Side of Digital," on how to attract Gen-X moms. "While we may tend to
think of digital as a man's world, women are leading the way in purchasing and using high tech photo gadgets
to capture, preserve and present family memories," she says.
Jeffrey Makoff, DigitalCustom Group Inc., will show how to double scrapbook
store revenues by providing custom digital imaging services. "This is very timely because many scrapbook
retailers are struggling and looking for new revenue streams," he says.
PSRO Director Jeanne Wines-Reed will show how to convert scrapbooking classes
into sales opportunities. "Education is a major dynamic in attracting scrappers to your store," she says.
Jeanne also will lead retailers on a guided trade show tour - customized for scrapbook retailers -
highlighting the scrapbook pavilion, The Complete PictureT inspiration center, and some of the latest
innovations for capturing, preserving and displaying images.
