Recertification
The art and framing industry is not a static one - it's a constantly changing field
with advances in new techniques and products continuously being developed. Framers must stay on top of these
advances. That's why PPFA® developed the Recertification Program, designed to ensure that designation holders
continue to update their knowledge in the industry and keep abreast of the latest technology.
Like the CPF exam, the Recertification course is the result of a collaborative effort
of industry experts. Because industry advancements are continuously emerging, the Recertification course is
updated on an ongoing basis.
Who should take the Recertification course? Designation holders who want to stay
current with developments in the field should take this course. Although not required for those who received
their certification before Jan. 1, 1994, it is a must for framers who want to keep their framing knowledge
current. The Recertification course gives framers the tools they need to maintain the value of their
credential.
PPFA developed Recertification in 1996 to strengthen the value of the CPF designation
while helping framers stay abreast of advances in the art and framing industry. This one-day Recertification
course, offered at various locations, is a requirement for individuals who earned the CPF designation after
1993.
