2007 PPFA US Custom Framing Report
In January 2007, PMA conducted a survey of U.S. consumers. The objective was to measure the spending of U.S. families and consumers on various framing services, such as posters, original artwork, photos/portraits and more. Locations where custom frames were made, reasons for using custom framing services andreasons for not using custom framing services were also explored in the survey.

Every few years PMA Marketing Research conducts surveys among retailers on their financials, salary and benefit practices.
2005 PPFA Consumer Custom Picture Framing Report
Consumer attitudes toward custom framing. Original artwork was the most popular item to frame. Thirty-two percent of households framed original artwork, photos and limited edition prints were also among the most common items framed.

A survey of art and custom framing retailers on custom framing sales, business operations, framing operations, supplier relationships and marketing and customers.

2003 APA Art and Wall Decor Purchasers Survey Mini-Report
Includes demographic profile of consumers; purchase behavior among consumers of four types of art; drives, motivations, and reasons for purchasing; factors affecting selection; purchase incidence and likelihood to purchase; extent of wall decorations among women. 2002 PPFA Custom Picture Framing Report
Consumer study on the use of professional custom framing services and satisfaction with experiences. Demographics include geographic division, market size, household income, family status, age of head of household, lifestage, presence of children and residence.
The Art Market: A Study of Consumer Buying Behavior (2000)
This report summarizes the findings of a telephone survey of consumers, commissioned by the Art Publishers Association. The APA undertook this study to better understand consumer buyer behavior regarding art.

A summary of the 1999 PPFA Survey of North American Art and Framing Retailers. Statistics cover operations, sales, customer information, and technology.
