PMA Business Resources
Available through Business Resources are a variety of products and educational tools to help PMA members grow their business. Materials are available to purchase at the PMA store include: study materials for PMA society certification (CPC, SPFE); and books, promotion material, etc.
PMA Convention Services
Assisting guests of the PMA International Convention and Trade Show, PMA Convention Services oversee registration and accommodations for most PMA events.
PMA Corporate Relations
The PMA Corporate Relations Department works to achieve communication between the association and its members by preparing and issuing news releases on association events, studies and activities.
PMA Division Activities serves the needs of 13 independent divisions of PMA located across the United States. These divisions provide industry colleagues with an opportunity to meet, network, share ideas and benefit from educational and social programs on a local level. Each division holds a minimum of one meeting per year. Division membership is not mandatory for meeting attendance, nor is it equivalent or related to membership in PMA.
PMA offers more than 200 educational sessions with more than 450 international speakers at conventions. The sessions are widely attended, with more than 12,000 people registered yearly for such programs as Mini Breakfast Sessions, General Sessions, Official Business Session Keynotes, Midday Sessions, Night Schools, and more. Sessions are targeted for the various trade segments and geographic regions of PMA, and address a wide variety of general business topics and specific industry concerns.
The International Department ensures that the PMA services are provided to members in more than 90 countries around the world, to assist them in becoming more profitable and expanding their market places.
PMA Marketing Research
The PMA Marketing Research Department allows members to anticipate market trends, rather than just react to them. By measuring and analyzing changes in trends in both consumer and commercial markets, the department assists industry members in operating their businesses efficiently and locating potential sources of expanded revenue. Other services include providing market size estimates, customer profiles, financial and productivity ratios, and additional information about both amateur and commercial markets.
The Membership Department compiles and maintains records on more than 20,000 individuals and companies in the photographic industry. Membership is open to any firm in the photographic industry, provided a substantial portion of their business involves processing, servicing or retail marketing of photographic related goods.
PMA Regulatory Activities
PMA's Regulatory Activities department was established in 1991 to assist members in environmental and workplace safety issues through education and information. The department offers direct representation of the industry and members with federal, state and local governments through review and comment on rules and regulations, coalitions, work groups, advisory committees, testimony, litigation support, and other related activities.
PMA Trade Exhibits
The PMA International Convention and Trade Show, held every year in a major North American city, is the world's largest annual photo imaging trade show. More than 20,000 attendees from 100 countries gather at this event.
