Think you’re the next Spike Jonze? Prove it!
Build your resume and live it up with an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas!
PMA 09, the leading annual event for photographers and videographers, is looking for budding Coppolas and Soderberghs to capture the energy and excitement of the photo imaging industry’s biggest event.
One student filmmaker will gain professional experience and come to Vegas to shoot and edit a short film about PMA 09 to be presented at the closing event.
To enter, send PMA a short video of your work before December 31, 2008. Videos can include previous projects or a new production specifically for the contest.
How to Enter
The entrant must complete all lines on the Entry Form and sign the Release Agreement. The Entry Form may be reproduced. Include the Entry Form with the video. Please complete one Entry Form per video. The name of the entrant and the school must be labeled or printed on each DVD.
Who May Enter
Any student (18 or older) studying with a photography or digital-imaging teacher may compete. The student must be officially enrolled in a course or workshop or taking part in a school-sponsored photographic/imaging activity between August 2008 and the December 31, 2008 deadline. Exceptions: A working professional photographer who is enrolled as a part-time student or who enrolled only in a workshop is not eligible. All entries require teacher participation, although the teacher listed on the entry form does not need to be a member of PMA or PIEA.
What May Be Entered
Videos must be 3-5 minutes in length. Formats accepted are: MP4s, AVI, Mpegs or Windows Media files. Files must be on a DVD or flash drive. Videos may be created individually, in relation to a course, or in connection with a sponsored school/college activity.
