Alinari 24 ORE spaHead of Information Technology Office and Co-ordinator for European Projects and New initiatives Alinari Andrea is Head of Information Technology Office and Co-ordinator for European Projects and New initiatives at Alinari, the oldest photographic archive in the world. He is responsible for managing European multimedia and digital projects. In addition, he collaborates and tests market-leading products and has been selected to become the permanent beta tester for future industry software.
Andrea joined Alinari in 1994 and was responsible for developing its new technology department. He then became Head of the Photographic Conservation Laboratory and Webmaster before taking on the challenge of Supervisor of the Digital Workflow.
Andrea has been a member of many affiliate groups including the Appraiser Association of America, Inc., IEEE, IS&T, PIEA, I3A, American Institute of Conservation, and Society of Imaging Science and technology.
Andrea was awarded a BFA in Fine Art in June 1994, from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a certificate in Museum Studies (George Eastman House) in May 1994. He lives in Florence, Italy.
