Mona is the General Merchandise Manager of Photo and Front End Services for the Walgreen Company.  Walgreen operates more than 7,500 Drug Stores with Photo Labs in every store in 50 States and Puerto Rico.  In total, the company generates more than $64 billion in annual sales and Photo plays an integral role in the strategy. Mona is responsible for Photofinishing and Front End Services, which consists of photoprocessing, gift cards, prepaid cards & phones, film, otucs, redbox rentals kiosk, transit passes, postal services, engraving, etc.

Mona has an extensive background in the Photo industry. She began her career in 1974 with Eckerd Drug as a part time associate in the main Photo Lab. She eventually became Plant Supervisor responsible for all aspects of production.   

Mona participated in the development and subsequent roll-out of the first one hour photo labs in retail stores.  She was also instrumental in the dynamic growth Eckerd experienced in the category, first as a District Manager and eventually as Director of Photofinishing. At the time of the Eckerd sale in 2004 she held the position of Vice President Photofinishing.     

Currently, Mona is playing a lead role in the transformation as Walgreen evolves from a traditional in-store Photo Service Provider to a fully integrated Digital and Photo Lab providing a range of services including on-line access for consumers. Mona’s 36 years of diversified experience provides her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the Photo Industry.
