Christopher M. Aubuchon Ph.D

Christopher Aubuchon is director of technology strategy at Tessera. Since joining Tessera in March 2006, he has played a key role in strategy development and the analysis of prospective target companies, including a detailed evaluation of the technologies, intellectual property and markets of prospective target companies. Current responsibilities also include supporting the integration of acquired companies. These activities, combined with the talents of the Emerging Markets and Technologies Group have driven the company’s M&A activities.

Prior to joining Tessera, Aubuchon served as president and CEO of Exajoule, a MEMS-based micro display company. As the founder of Exajoule, Aubuchon was the key inventor of the company’s foundational patents and helped to build its openly licensable IP business model. Previous experience also includes work at Nayna Networks as a member of technical staff and Santa Barbara Research Center (formerly a Division of Hughes Aircraft) as development engineer.

Aubuchon holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with honors from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif., and received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Stanford University. He is a member of Sigma Xi, the American Chemical Society, SID, and IEEE.
